Odd Questions – Page Two

Q. I have been an avid reader of the Kryon material for years, but I’ve never completely understood why Kryon keeps calling lightworkers lighthouses. What have lighthouses got to do with lightworkers?
A.
They say a picture’s worth a thousand words, and I’d probably need a thousand words to describe precisely what lightworkers do, especially First Wave New Energy Lightworkers, so I’ll give you the answer with a picture that was sent to me by a colleague. Unfortunately the image tends to look a bit sanctimonious, but I think you’ll see what Kryon means with his lighthouse metaphor.

Q. I really do my utmost to love all humanity, but no matter how hard I try there are always some people that I just can’t take to at all. I don’t know if they’re just a reflection of me and my own stuff, but I find the energy of some individuals most unpleasant. Is this all about me or do some people really give off a yucky energy? Also, as a lightworker and healer, I’ve found it somewhat confusing as to why I don’t automatically warm to all other lightworkers (or at least those who call themselves lightworkers) that I meet at workshops and seminars. I thought that all like-minded people on the spiritual path would automatically get on with each other like the proverbial house on fire.
A. While this may offend a few New Age purists, the fact is that some people do give off a highly unpleasant energy. To highly sensitive lightworkers these individuals can indeed feel exactly as you say. With regards to automatically getting on with all other lightworkers, I wouldn’t even try. I can assure you that I don’t resonate with all those who call themselves lightworkers and I know other true First Wavers who don’t as well. Paradoxically, you can love all of humanity – which is actually par for the course for highly evolved humans – without liking every single human… just as you can love yourself without necessarily liking every single aspect of yourself. The trick with all of this is to “Accept all things, including yourself and others, as they are.” You’ll find this frees up so much energy.

Q. I’ve read all the New Energy books and websites, and I must admit that I’m now more confused than ever. Could you please do me a big favour and explain as simply as you can in as few words as possible just why this awakening of mine is so dreadfully difficult?
A
. In a nutshell…Your awakening is so difficult because you are completely changing reality systems. You are moving out of a reality system that you’ve been in for eons, or pretty much since you originally split from The One or All-That-Is… or if you insist, since you left home, and moving into a reality that you’ve never experienced before. The body and the mind have enormous difficulty coping with this huge and unprecedented change hence all the strange and difficult symptoms – anxiety, stress, confusion, exhaustion, discomfort, fear, insecurity and even the feeling that one is losing their sanity. That’s the best I can do in a few words.

Q. I’ve got several questions that I’ve been hoarding as I’ve never really known who to ask… until I found your website.  I realize that it’s probably an imposition, but I would love to have your answers. Even a simple yes or no would be fine and would be greatly appreciated.

Q. Was Jesus of Nazareth really Divine, or part of God?
A. Yes.

Q. Do you think that we’re all actually God in human form?
A. Yes.

Q. Is there any form of punishment after death for wrong-doing or what the church calls sin?
A. No.

Q. Do you think that God sits in judgement of us humans? Do you think that God cares if we do good or bad things?
A. No and No.

Q. Do you think that people who pray in the traditional religious way are ultimately talking to themselves?
A. Yes.

Q. Do you believe that famous television evangelists like Benny Hinn have a special relationship with God, or have any special healing powers?
A. No.

Q. Can enlightenment actually be ‘transferred’ from a guru to a follower or devotee?
A. No.

Q. Do you think we will end up destroying each other and the world with nuclear weapons?
A. No.

Q. Is it wrong to love someone of the same sex?
A. No.

Q. Can great (classical) music heal?
A. Yes.

Q. Can certain music like heavy metal be damaging to us in any way?
A. Yes.

Q. Do you believe that Australia is in some way a special or unique spiritual place?
A. Yes.

Q. On our journey from duality to Oneness, do we reach a stage where we lose our individuality or sense of self?
A. No.

Q. Do you think that we’ll see world-wide religious accord within our lifetime?
A. No.

Q. Can one become enlightened, or reach this new ‘ascension status’ without ever doing traditional meditation or any of the various spiritual practices that fill the New Age magazines and expos?
A. Yes.

Q. I know you’ve already commented on this [on the main Q & A page], but do you think that a glass or two of wine now and again actually does us some good?
A. Yes.

Q. Do you believe that a lot of spiritual teachers/authors are motivated solely by money?
A. Yes.

Q. Can reading the right books help us to grow in awareness?
A. Yes.

Q. Do you believe that ‘angels’ or non-physical entities are typically more enlightened and evolved than us humans?
A. No.

Q. Do you believe there’s such a thing as an evil spirit or force, or an objective evil power that is contrary to God?
A. No.

Q. Kryon says that all human dis-ease is essentially karma or our ‘humaness in lesson’, and is never just a random misfortune or some form of punishment from above. Do you agree with that?
A. Yes.

Q. Is all this talk about DNA activation real?
A. Yes.

Q. Do you think that global warming is primarily a result of the New Energy changes now – changes with the magnetic grids and human consciousness and the rise in the planet’s vibration, and not solely a fossil fuel / greenhouse effect as most believe it is?
A. Yes.

Q. I can’t tell you how many books and channels I’ve read over the years, not to mention all the pricey courses and seminars, yet sometimes I can’t help but wonder… ‘Is this just all crap or what?’ Do you think it’s wrong of me to think like that?
A. No.

Q. Of the entire crop of current world leaders, are there any in your opinion who are truly enlightened, or rather, New Energy enlightened?
A. No.

Q. There is so much that I still don’t know. Is this just ignorance on my part?
A. No. ‘Not knowing’ is not ignorance. Ignorance is when we don’t know that we don’t know.

Q. I am off to an ashram in India with a friend in a couple of month’s time. I gather from reading your website that you would consider that to be totally unnecessary and very ‘old energy’, or even the wrong thing to do altogether.
A. No, I wouldn’t say that it’s the wrong thing to do altogether because ultimately there is no right or wrong, there is only experience. If that is what you feel you need to do, then so be it. However, while you’re over there do remember to stay very grounded and be ever alert to the 4Ds… Deification, Devotion, Duality and Duty, and as your ashram is in India, Dyspepsia and Diarrhoea. Otherwise have fun, and never forget that while your guru may be deemed by millions to be a grand god in human form… so too are you.

Q. I’ve read in one of the Kryon books that a small group of lightworkers focused together can actually generate the energy of a whole stadium full of people (non-lightworkers). So for this reason wouldn’t it make sense for all lightworkers to live together in communities?
A.
No it wouldn’t, and for two reasons. First, because lightworkers are needed all over the planet and often in very ‘unenlightened’ places, and second, because if they were always together they would quickly get on each others nerves and would probably end up driving each other mad.

Q. I’ve often wondered if Scientology might be the answer for me. I mean, when luminaries like Tom Cruise and John Travolta are devout followers and supporters, it obviously must have a lot going for it.
A.
Well, some ‘luminaries’ have also been known to commit suicide. So would you then say that suicide must have a lot going for it? I really don’t think that following Hollywood heart-throbs is the best way to enlightenment… or for that matter, the best way to anywhere.

Q. Could I please get your advice on something that’s been troubling me for some time? I adore both the Seth and Kryon writings. I’ve learned more from them than from all my other books combined (which actually number in the hundreds). What troubles me however is the opposing views that Seth and Kryon have on the crucifixion of Jesus, which I’m sure you’ll agree is a pretty major thing to disagree about. Seth is quite adamant that Jesus was never crucified while Kryon clearly intimates that he was. So who should I believe?
A.
You’re certainly not the first to notice this rather disconcerting discrepancy, just one of many by the way between the many channelled entities. The real problem here of course is not about who is right or wrong about the crucifixion of Jesus – which as all metaphysicians know is ultimately irrelevant anyway – but is really about how you can continue to trust in the teachings of a supposedly all-knowing entity when they are totally wrong about something of so much significance to so many humans. As far as giving you my own opinion on who you should believe, all I can say is that I tend to go with the Seth version for no other reason than it just feels right. So the big question now is… does that make Kryon wrong? Before you say “yes”, just read the following answer from Kryon on a question that was put to him about the birth and death of Jesus… “Jesus was a real person. His birth and death were far different than have been reported, but he walked the earth as an enlightened soul whose miracles and teachings were the beginning of a new dispensation. He said, “You can be just like me!” and that is what our message is, also . . . that master-hood is within each of you. It serves no purpose to give information that would be detrimental to any study or search for the divine by any Human alive. This is why we often do not give you the actual history of some of the masters who walked this earth. We see the search for the divine as the most important thing a Human can do. Even if the facts of history are incorrect, sometimes the benefits of the search still bring the Human into the light and into the realization that God is inside us all”. So, can you now go on and trust in both the Seth and Kryon teachings despite the Jesus inconsistency, or rather the ‘seeming’ inconsistency? Yes, I’d say you can… but ALWAYS in union with your own discernment, which you should never put aside for anyone.

Q. I’ve been on the path for some time now and I must say I find your approach ever so refreshing, a real breath of fresh air over all the stale old spiritual babble. But with the greatest of respect, how do I know what you’re saying about all this new energy stuff is totally true, like without a doubt?
A. Because I’m coming from where you’re going.

Q. I’ve noticed there are lots of ‘schools of enlightenment’ advertised in the metaphysical magazines and on the net. Are all these schools in the New Energy or is it still possible to have an old energy school of enlightenment?
A.
No and yes. At this point in time it is true to say that most enlightenment schools and teachings are still heavily anchored in the old energy. But they still serve a purpose – albeit one that is slowly but surely becoming obsolete – because most of humanity is still at this stage in the old energy.

Q. What’s your view of the religious belief system about a glorious afterlife complete with 72 virgins? I think I know what your answer will be, but I’d like to hear it anyway.
A.
A litany of errors and nothing more than male-oriented dogmatism; just another example of the huge imbalance of male and female energy in the church. You would really have to ask yourself why any normal intelligent male would believe they had to die in order to meet 72 virgins when there are millions of virgins right here. And the fact that the poor women in this religion have no goodies at all to look forward to – no Sean Connery look-alikes or male models waiting for them – only further screams of an old energy male-dominant church hierarchy. The whole affair is even more absurd than Christianity’s notion of original sin.

Q. When do you think the reincarnation cycle eventually ends for us humans, or at least for us awakened humans? When I think of going through the whole birth/baby thing again, through all the dramas of growing up and spending all those long years back in school again learning all the stuff that I’ve already learned a hundred times before… God, just the thought of it all makes me feel like I want to be sick… and I’m not even taking into account all the horrors of old age. I am fully aware of why we are here on Earth and all the grand work we do that can only be done while in physical form, but do you think we’ll ever reach a stage where we’ll be able to come and go as we please, just slip in and out of a body whenever we choose without going through the whole cradle to the grave production? I’m probably wanting the best of both worlds, but why the hell not?
A.
Ah, great question, and also a complex one. I must admit that I agree with you about the physical birth/death thing… the thought of going through the whole cradle to the grave drama again makes me cringe as well. I’d love to be able to give you a definitive answer on this but at this point I would have to say that I’m not sure. I do think what you’ve said about ultimately having the choice of bypassing the physical birth/childhood/old age/death scenario is highly likely, at least for fully awakened beings, but how and when this will eventuate I’m not too sure. Although the more I think about it, it may well be sooner rather than later… for some.

Q. I often wonder where I am in the whole scheme of things. Any insights?
A.

Q. What price are your Instant Insight cards and how do I go about ordering a pack? I can’t seem to find anywhere on your site where I can do this.
A. They’re free and you can’t. The Instant Insight cards were always intended as a gift, and there are far too many cards anyway to make into a single pack.

Q. I’ve often wondered why you don’t have a message board on your site where visitors can post and discuss things of mutual interest.
A.
We don’t have a Points of Power message board for (no doubt) the same reasons that the Kryon and Lightworker websites got rid of theirs.

Q. I have some issues about visualisation that I hope you can help me with. I’ve read the Kryon channel on your Problems and Solutions page where it talks about visualising the desired end result for solving our problems. Well, I’ve done these visualisations diligently and repeatedly and often to the point of exhaustion, but they just never seem to work for me personally. I think the main reason that I have so much difficulty with visualising these end results is that I honestly don’t know what any of these ‘end results’ should really be or should actually look like.  I definitely have ideas about what I ‘think’ I want – where I’d like to live and who I want to be with etc, but I’ve often wondered if all my visuals haven’t materialised because my Spirit or Higher Self has something quite different in store for me… perhaps (and hopefully) something much grander than anything my little mind could ever conjure up. So here then are my questions: Is it being spiritually lazy to just leave the outcome of everything a mystery and just let my Spirit figure it all out for me? Is visualising the only way to co-create? If I don’t deliberately visualise am I being irresponsible to myself, and will that in any way prevent me from getting and having what is ultimately best for me?
A. Okay, let’s answer your questions first… and as always, from a New Energy perspective. No, it’s not being lazy to leave all the outcomes a mystery. No, you do not need to endlessly visualize in order to co-create. No, if you don’t deliberately and repeatedly visualise you are not being irresponsible to yourself and it will not in any way prevent you from getting and having what is ultimately best for you. Now, although this particular Kryon channel talks about visualizing the end result, it’s not saying that you should concern yourself with HOW or in WHICH WAY the problem is going to be solved; only that it is ALREADY solved. The whole message is really all about balance, the fact that all energy seeks resolution and that there is actually no such thing as a problem without a corresponding solution… a solution, as Kryon quite rightly says, that is often far grander than anything we could ever imagine or visualize anyway. So again, although Kryon talks about visualizing the end result (remember he’s always talking to a very broad audience with his channels), we should look beyond this to the real spirit of the message. Ultimately, Kryon is saying exactly what we have always said… to TRUST and KNOW that all is in Perfect Divine Order, that all is unfolding exactly as it should and for every one of our so-called problems there is a solution that is far grander than we know. And we should be ever aware not to limit these grand solutions (or our creations) with any of our petty visualisations of what we ‘think’ we want or what we ‘think’ is best for us, and even more importantly, with what we believe we deserve or don’t deserve. As Kryon has always admonished… Don’t limit Spirit!

So many people beat themselves into a state of frustration and exhaustion trying to visualize, and especially those on the path of change and transition into the New Energy. Yes, back in old duality land visualizing did work occasionally, if there was enough energy behind it, but now that we’re on a Brand-New and Unprecedented Journey into a Whole New Reality, visualizing is actually de trop (in the way and not wanted). Even Kryon himself has said that there is NO old energy tool that will serve us as we walk into a high vibration. It’s now a whole new paradigm and an entirely new school… exactly what the Points of Power work is all about.

Q. I’ve noticed where you’ve been given a list of questions and you’ve given just a yes or no answer. For some reason the sheer succinctness of this appeals to me. The fact that I’m a real cut and dried Virgo probably has a lot to do with it. Anyway, I’d love it if you would do the same for me. I’m sure you won’t be bored as the subjects are pretty varied. I will also understand if you need to elaborate beyond just a yes or no.

Q. First off, as far as my own gym training goes, I’ve always preferred pin-loaded weight machines (mainly nautilus) over free weights. Do you think machines are just as good as free weights for bodybuilding?
A. Yes… and they’re especially good for those with back problems.

Q. I’ve always struggled with my excess weight until I finally came to realize that my overweight problem was actually emotionally based and not a physical or diet thing. Do you believe that emotional issues account for a lot of overweight problems?
A. Yes.

Q. I enjoy doing a few Yoga exercises occasionally, but unlike some of my ever-so-spiritual friends I don’t believe that Yoga is necessarily more ‘spiritual’ than weight-training? Do you think it is?
A. No.

Q. Do you think the New Energy will ultimately end up changing everything including our political, religious, educational, health and financial systems?
A. Yes.

Q. I’m finding my tolerance for bullshit (excuse the term) and the almost total lack of integrity in the world to be almost zero. I’ve read where this is one sign of a higher vibration. Is that true?
A. Yes.

Q. I realise that our mass media news is all pure duality (and usually ‘bad’ because ‘good’ doesn’t sell), but do you think it’s still a good idea to have an overview of world events?
A. Yes.

Q. Do you believe that all the people who die in natural disasters like floods etc have actually chosen at a soul level to go?
A. Yes.

Q. I’ve read that having strong religious beliefs like ‘Jesus is my lord and saviour’ can create real problems and make things extremely difficult for anyone going through the death transition. Do you agree?
A. Yes.

Q. Is there any one teacher, or channelled teaching, which you agree with 100% of the time, with absolutely EVERY single word they say?
A. No… and especially the duality-based ones.

Q. I get confused with all this talk about ‘dimensions’. I’ve read where we’re supposed to be ascending into a 5th dimensional reality from our current 3rd dimension reality (or 4th if we include ‘time’). Okay, I can digest that, but then I hear of certain channelled entities declaring they’re from the 29th dimension! God! Are there really that many different dimensions?
A. I agree with the New Energy channelled entities (Kryon and Tobias) when they say that there is no actual 5th dimension (or 6th, 7th, 8th etc) because when you get beyond 4D you eliminate linearity and therefore numbers. Beyond 4D it’s all ‘multidimensionality’. So you will have to make up your own mind about all those entities who claim they’re from numbered dimensions.

Q. I’ve heard from what I believe to be highly reliable sources that the 25th of December was not the actual birth date of Jesus. So that along with all the other religious fallacies about Jesus (like Jesus is our only saviour and the only way to get to God etc), do you think it’s still a good idea to celebrate Christmas?
A. As a saviour’s birthday no, but the spirit and energy of Christmas yes… and every day of the year.

Q. You’re the only person that I trust to answer this correctly for me. I’ve just seen the movie The Secret, and I can’t help but feel that it’s all duality-based old energy. So am I right?
A. Yes.

Q. I totally agree with you that ‘psychic’ does not automatically mean ‘enlightened’, but do you agree that there are still some genuine psychics around with unusual gifts of seeing things?
A. Yes.

Q. This is really hard for me to admit, but a couple of times when things have become unbearably difficult I seriously thought about suicide. Would you say that’s wrong or a weakness of character on my part?
A. No.

Q. Do you think that being a qualified Reiki or NLP Master would be helpful for one going through the spiritual awakening process?
A. No.

Q. How would you describe what it’s like to be in the New Energy to someone in duality, or is it impossible to describe?
A. Yes, it’s impossible.

Q. Do you believe in the adage ‘Knowledge is power’?
A. Yes, as long as we understand that all true knowledge is direct experience.

Q. Do you think that we ever reach a stage in the future where we eventually know everything and so stop learning and evolving?
A. No.

Q. I’m fortunate enough to live near one of Australia’s many fabulous beaches (Byron Bay), and I really believe that my regular ocean bathing has benefited my spiritual process. Do you agree that saltwater bathing is good for those on the awakening/ascension path?
A. Yes, and a far cry from using chlorinated public pools… which everybody pees in constantly.

Q. I am now finding myself feeling quite sick when I go into certain institutions like banks etc, or even to my accountant’s office. May I ask you if you ever feel like that?
A. Yes. It’s because they’re all duality-based/low vibration/old energy.

Q. Do you think that in the future humans will come to have an easy time with the awakening process?
A. Easy no, ‘easier’ yes, and at some point in the future even joyful.

Q. This is really a question for my (adorable but overly protective) partner who I will make sure reads your answer. How important is it for me to have some time alone occasionally and to be in my own space?
A. Extremely… and for your partner also.

Q. I’ve noticed that just about everybody in metaphysics these days is a self-proclaimed expert on the Soul. Actually, I feel that most of them haven’t got a clue what they’re talking about. In your opinion are the Soul and the Spirit one and the same?
A. No.

Q. I’m often asked by a very sceptical friend of mine to prove to him that God exists. I never know what to say, so can you help me out with an answer?
A. No, I’m afraid I can’t. All I can suggest is that you ask your friend if he’s ever been in love, and if so, to prove it to you. Like love, God is not provable, only knowable.

Q. Last question (and not a simple yes or no). I live in Australia because, well, apart from the fact that I absolutely adore the lifestyle here, I also believe it’s a very unique place in the spiritual scheme of things and the home of many of the world’s future spiritual leaders. But why do you live here?
A. For the same two reasons. But there is one other reason, unfortunately one that’s not all that metaphysical, but one that’s true nevertheless…

Green and Gold Malaria
by Rupert McCall

The day would soon arrive when I could not ignore the rash.
I was obviously ill and so I called on Doctor Nash.
This standard consultation would adjudicate my fate.
I walked into his surgery and gave it to him straight:
’Doc, I wonder if you might explain this allergy of mine,
I get these pins and needles running up and down my spine.
From there, across my body, I will suddenly extend –
My neck will feel a shiver and the hairs will stand on end.
And then there is the symptom that only a man can fear –
A choking in the throat, and the crying of a tear.’
So tell me, Doc,’ I questioned. `Am I really gonna die?’
He broke into a smile before he looked me in the eye.
As he fumbled with his stethoscope and pushed it out of reach,
He wiped away a tear and then he gave me this stirring speech…

“From the beaches here in Queensland to the sweeping shores of Broome,
On the Harbour banks of Sydney where the waratah’s in bloom.
From Uluru at sunset to the Mighty Tasman Sea,
In the Adelaide cathedrals, at the roaring MCG.
From the Great Australian Bight up to the Gulf of Carpentaria,
The medical profession call it “green and gold malaria”.
But forget about the text books, son, the truth I shouldn’t hide.
The rash that you’ve contracted here is “good old Aussie pride”.
I’m afraid that you were born with it and one thing is for sure –
You’ll die with it, young man, because there isn’t any cure.”

Q. I always enjoy your Q&A, but do you agree that everybody ultimately has the answers to their own questions?
A. Ultimately, yes. But until that level of trust and awareness is reached, which ultimately it will be, I’m quite happy to help out as best I can.

Q. I’ve been on the spiritual path for quite some time and this has never been a problem as far as my marriage is concerned… until now. All of a sudden my husband has started accusing me of falling into, of all things, a cult. As far as he is concerned all this talk about New Energy, Earth changes, spiritual evolution, awakening etc, is nothing more than the latest trend in brainwashing. Unfortunately, the more I insist that nothing could be further from the truth and that the New Energy is more real than anything, the more contentious he becomes. What do you think is behind this sudden turnaround?
A. Probably fear… of losing both you and control. I know it’s hard not to talk about your passion, but your situation won’t improve and can really only get worse if you keep forcing your spirituality onto your husband. Whenever we force something all we can ever expect to get back is an opposing force… exactly what you’re experiencing. So stop evangelising and just do as Debbie suggests in such situations – let it go and let it flow.

Q. I’m asking this because I see you’re a qualified clinician and counsellor in addition to your main work as a metaphysician. I feel a lot more comfortable with this as I’ve met too many self-proclaimed metaphysicians who are so ungrounded and so… I’m sure you know what I mean. Anyway, a member of our family is a schizophrenic and this has made life extremely difficult for the rest of us for years. It has also led to a lot of ‘shame and blame’ within the family. Is medication the only answer for schizophrenia at the moment?
A. Unfortunately, yes. You certainly have my deepest empathy for your situation. Both mental illness and major physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy et al. can be extremely taxing on family members. I’ve observed both first hand, and as difficult and heart-rending as physical disabilities can be, I would have to say that for family members, coping with a loved-one with a mental disorder like schizophrenia has the biggest emotional cost. Meanwhile, although there’s no known cure for schizophrenia at present, certain medications CAN make an incredible difference. I wish I could be of more help here, but all I can suggest is that you do everything possible to have you family member put on regular medication for a while. I just hope that the mental health care system in your city is better than ours here in Sydney… which is nothing short of deplorable. In fact the system is so woefully deficient here that those with mental disorders have to actually commit some sort of crime before the mental health bumbledom do anything at all. In the meantime it’s up to their families to somehow take care of them as you’re so kindly doing or they live on the streets, as many do. Lastly, the all too common ‘shame and blame’ syndrome associated with schizophrenia exists simply because it is difficult for families to accept that the illness arises from a genetic vulnerability and therefore is nobody’s fault.

Q. I’ve read every word on your website, which by the way is my favourite New Energy site, but everything in my life stays much the same. I’ve done everything you’ve said, all the releasing, letting go, allowing, trusting etc, but nothing really gets any better. Sometimes things do improve for a while, but it’s like I’m taking two steps forward and then one step back all the time. So why is my life not working? Could I be doing something wrong?
A. No, you are not doing anything wrong. It may sound trite, but if you’re taking two steps forward and one step back as you say, you’re actually doing very well. As to why your life is not working, the biggest mistake we make, and believe me all of us First Wavers have made it from time to time, is to judge our progress by how well our ‘old’ life is working… when in fact it’s our old life and our old self that’s in the very throes of dying. As you’re coming to realize, the whole awakening/ascension process – the death of the old duality self and the birth of the New Divine Self, takes time, a lot of time. Remember, we’re awakening from an eon-old duality-based sleep, and accordingly it takes quite a while for us to ‘come to.’ So hang in there and ever keep in mind the truth that all is in Perfect Divine Order… and that even during those long-drawn-out periods when nothing seems to be happening, a great deal is happening.

Q. I’m having more and more difficulty living in this duality-based world and trying to relate to all the duality-based people. It’s just so loathsome to be in the New Energy consciousness while still having to deal with all these people all day who seem to be from another planet. How do you personally handle this?
A. With great difficulty most of the time.

Q. There’s something that I’ve been wanting to ask you for a while now. This is not a criticism as in my opinion yours is still one of the top New Energy websites, but I’m wondering how you can have an answer for every one of the 300+ questions on your site (I counted them) when you say in your bio that you don’t have all the answers? I don’t mean to sound sarcastic or anything, but surely there must be at least one thing you don’t know.
A.
I can assure you there’s a lot more than one… but I can’t very well put what I don’t know on the website; empty pages don’t tend to help people very much.

Q. I’ve always had an insatiable appetite for knowledge of the spiritual/metaphysical kind, but I find that the more I read now (almost exclusively channeled material) the more confused I become, which is the exact opposite of why I started reading in the first place. I don’t want to stop reading about what I love, my passion, so what would you suggest?
A.
As hard as it may be to pull yourself away, I would stop reading altogether for a while. Get right away from your books and computer and go have some fun. Don’t worry about missing out on anything as the material is not going to suddenly disappear… the best New Energy books and websites will be around for a long, long time to come. I would also resist the temptation to read every bit of channelled material that’s around. Just because something is channelled, or allegedly channelled, doesn’t automatically mean that it’s information of the highest order from a supreme infallible all-knowing source… or most importantly, from a New Energy source. Even some of the most fashionable channelled information contains some quite disconcerting contradictions at times, and even the odd fear-based message… which is the very last thing any human needs to hear, especially those on the path of change and transition which can be scary enough without any outside help. Now then, after you’ve had a good break away from all your reading and you feel you’ve dumped most of your information overload and your head is beginning to clear, s-l-o-w-l-y start back with your reading again, but this time may I suggest that you keep mainly to the New Energy material on our Recommended Resources page. Although it’s only a short list and a small percentage of what’s available – and I’m sure you know by now just how much weird and wonderful (and hopelessly confusing) stuff is out there – it is really all you will need… and in fact probably more than you’ll ever need.

Q. I’ve been a member of a few New Age type internet message boards over the years, and although I’ve met a few people who have been a joy to exchange views and stories with, the boards in general eventually seem to deteriorate into what I can only describe as a psychic hash. They all start out with a core group that is very constructive, loving and supportive, but usually end up with all sorts of imbalanced individuals and theatricals. I’ve also gone off some boards because they were becoming much too clicky for my liking. It’s a shame because I am very isolated where I am and I really don’t have anyone of like-mind to talk with. I would appreciate any suggestions.
A.
First, I think you mean cliquey not clicky, and second, yes it is a shame. But all in all what you’ve said about message boards doesn’t really surprise me at all, and especially the cliquey part. I remember Lee Carroll saying in one of the Kryon books that in his experience metaphysics tends to attract kooks like moths to a flame… and message boards are a pretty bright flame. So rather than get caught up in all this psychic hash as you call it, why don’t you invite the few REAL people on the boards that you’ve connected with to correspond with you personally via direct email. You would most likely find they’d welcome the opportunity to do that anyway… they’re probably just as fed up with the boards and all the cliquishness etc as you are.

Q. I’ve always had trouble with the popular New Age concept of asking the universe for what I want. From my brief study of astronomy I can’t see how the Universe, this endless conglomeration of stars, gas, planets, galaxies and space, could possibly bring me anything.  Moreover, if I am God as all the teachings say I am, and the Universe is God’s creation and therefore MY creation, then I would actually be asking my own creation for something, which to me is nothing short of ridiculous. What do you reckon?
A. Sounds good to me.

Q. How can I know if something is just an awakening or ascension symptom, or if it’s something really serious that needs medical attention?
A.
First, there is really no such thing as ‘just’ an awakening symptom. Awakening symptoms are evidence and confirmation that you’re on the grandest and most sacred path possible for a human to be on, and that’s just about as serious as you can get. That said, your question is important and one that I’m sure many have wondered about and indeed worried about.  And I would let your level of worry be your guide here. If you’re overly worried that something may be a real health issue, then by all means see a medical professional. I know this doesn’t appear to be a very exacting or scientific answer, but initially it’s the best approach. Over time you will come to intuitively know just what is an awakening sign and what, if anything, is something that you would be wise to see a doctor about.

Q. Do you believe there is anyone, or any channeled entity for that matter, who has absolutely ALL of the answers in the New Energy?
A.
No I don’t. And I don’t believe there was anyone who had all of the answers in the old energy either… despite all the space cadets who thought they did.

Q. Several lightworker friends of mine are really struggling to get people to their talks and workshops. Do you think that all these teachers will eventually end up making a living out of workshops and seminars?
A. Probably not. But it doesn’t matter as they’ll still be supported in one way or another. Workshops and such are only one way to teach. They are certainly not the only way or necessarily the grandest way.

Q. So many of us on the New Energy journey have lost just about everything we had in the process – our relationships, friendships, jobs, money, and in some cases even our house. I often wonder what could possibly be left for us?  In fact, what IS left?
A.
What is left in fact is everything we never had… and in fact could never have had until we had lost everything (all the duality-based distractions) that we had.

Q. I’ve just picked up a couple of New Age/holistic type magazines from our local health food store. Just glancing at the various headings… How to meditate deeper than a Zen monk… Psychic Protection… Can’t attract the right man?… Take charge of your karmic destiny… I can change your life [in 3 days and for a thousand dollars]… See yourself as a sex symbol… Spin those chakras… What kind of enlightenment?… Master your negative thoughts… The secret they forgot to tell you in The Secret… The secret behind The Secret… The secret they left out of The Secret… Awaken the giant within… Love the child within… Follow the leader within… and so on and so on. The same clapped out stuff and the same old ‘secrets’ year in year out. For heaven’s sake, haven’t these people heard of the New Energy?
A.
Apparently not.

Q. At what point on the awakening path do you think we really begin to see that we are God?
A.
There is no definitive answer to that. But it’s probably not until we get on a bit in years… when we look in the mirror first thing in the morning and think “Oh my God!”

Q. I’ve just started getting into reading channeled material. Although I’m finding a lot of it helpful and surprisingly spot-on at times, I’m still not totally convinced that I should believe every single word simply because it’s channeled. Do you agree?
A.
Totally. You most definitely shouldn’t believe every word simply ‘because’ it’s channeled… in fact you shouldn’t believe every word you hear or read whether it’s channeled or not.  Funnily enough, one of the best descriptions of channeled material and how to use it comes from Kryon, a channeled entity. If you stick with this piece of advice, you won’t go far wrong… Channeling is information, data. It is no more than that. After the information is put out, take it, apply what you wish, and put it away. Never use the channeler as a guru! Never give away your personal power of choice. To embrace the channeler as a guru is to create infidelity with God, your Higher Self. Use channeled information as you would any resource book. Glean what you wish from it, then shut the book, and put it on the shelf, because it is YOU who is enabled, not the channel. You don’t need a constant channeler, and you don’t need a guru, and you don’t need a leader. You are the shepherd! Move forward with the power you have in your own heart. You will do the work for the planet – not the channel.
